Math-U-See Manipulative Overview Training

Instructional Objectives
(Present) Given the training outline for each curriculum level (Alpha through Algebra 1 Legacy Edition), a video model, and the associated presentation checklist, provide a clear and detailed presentation of the indicated concepts with a minimum 90% accuracy level.
(Future) For customer-facing roles, the ultimate objective is to be able to clearly demonstrate these concepts to customers without the use of notes.
Course Overview
One aspect of the Math-U-See program that sets us apart is our distinctive manipulatives, which are an integral component of the curriculum. We use these manipulatives to present abstract math concepts in a concrete and understandable way. In this module, you will learn how to use the manipulatives to present selected concepts. How to present these concepts will be modeled through video presentation.
There is a lesson for each curriculum level with separate topics for each concept. The lesson overview page for each lesson will provide you with information regarding necessary resources and the recommended process for completing the assignments within each lesson.
Note
- The videos provide presentations for a range of roles and customers. Some terminology and details may not be necessary or appropriate for your particular role or audience. Please ask if you are unsure.
- Your presentation for each level should incorporate your own personality and flavor. However, there are certain elements and key phrases that must be incorporated. Please refer to the outline and presentation checklist for those essential elements.
- As the manipulative training videos are used with external customers, multimedia elements are included. You do not need to attempt to replicate those elements.
